7-day trial, no credit card · €9/month, all included · Your data stays yours

Done with quotes retyped by hand

One quote in two is still made in Word or Excel: you duplicate the last client's file, replace the names by hand, hunt for "what number was it again?", miss a line. It works… until the mistake that costs you dearly.

Today, without a tool

  • You duplicate an old file and replace the details one by one.
  • Numbering is manual: gaps, duplicates, omissions.
  • VAT is worked out separately, in a corner of a spreadsheet.
  • The quote lives in a folder, cut off from your client tracking.

With Backhurry

  • You enter the client once; the quote fills itself in.
  • The number increments automatically, with no gap or duplicate.
  • Net, VAT and gross are calculated on the document, live.
  • Every quote stays linked to its client record and its tracking.

Generate a PDF quote automatically, in 3 steps

Three moves, no more: you design the template, you drop in your variables, Backhurry outputs the numbered PDF. Here is how it works in practice.

1

Design your template on an A4 page

Open the editor: a real, blank A4 page. Drop in your logo, your contact details, a table, a footer — by drag and drop, with the mouse. You design the quote exactly the way you want, just once.

2

Drop your data into the template

Where the client's name goes, insert the variable {client.nom}. For the amount, {devis.total_ttc}. For the date, {devis.date}. Each variable pulls the right information from your database: the template becomes a form that fills itself in.

{client.nom} {devis.total_ttc} {devis.date}
3

Generate the PDF, numbered and ready to send

On a client record, click "Generate". Backhurry builds the PDF, inserts the real values and assigns the next number (DEV-2026-0088). You send it, print it or share it — without ever retyping a line.

A free-form editor, on a real A4 page

No imposed template. You place each block wherever you want on the page — title, logo, services table, terms, signature. What you see on screen is what comes out as PDF, to the pixel.

  • Drag and drop text, image, table and divider blocks.
  • Alignment on an A4 grid: clean margins, nothing spilling over.
  • Several templates: one for quotes, one for invoices, one for purchase orders.
  • Editable anytime: change your logo or a legal notice, and every future PDF follows — with no re-quoting.

Documents that fill themselves in

A variable is a smart blank in your template. You write {client.nom} and Backhurry replaces it, for each quote, with the real name of the linked client. You feed only one place — your database — and all your documents stay up to date.

  • {client.nom}, {client.adresse}, {client.siret} — the linked client's details.
  • {devis.numero}, {devis.date}, {devis.validite} — the document's details.
  • {devis.total_ht}, {devis.tva}, {devis.total_ttc} — the calculated amounts.
  • {entreprise.iban} — your own information, entered once.

Your fields, your names: variables follow the structure you built. If you add a "site reference" field, it becomes an available variable straight away.

Automatic numbering that never skips

Each document type has its own counter. You set a prefix and a number of digits; Backhurry assigns the next number at every generation. No more gaps, no more duplicates, no more "where were we?".

Prefix of your choice — DEV for quotes, FAC for invoices, BC for orders.

Calibrated digits (padding) — 0001, 0002… the length stays constant, everything lines up.

Reliable increment — the counter advances on its own, in order, with no intervention.

You stay in control: yearly reset, custom format, several sequences in parallel. It's your numbering logic, applied automatically.

Line items and VAT that calculate themselves

Add a "Catalogue / line items" field to your quote: you list your services or products, quantity and unit price. Each line total, the net total, the VAT and the gross total are calculated automatically thanks to Backhurry's visual formulas — the same ones that run the rest of your tool.

  • Pull from your catalogue: description and price are filled in with one click, or type a free line.
  • VAT at whatever rate you want (20%, 10%, 5.5%, 0%…): the net → VAT → gross calculation is instant.
  • Discounts, subtotals, deposits: compose your formulas, they stay editable at any time.

Line items draw from a catalogue linked to your inventory, via the Catalogue field (v0.12).
